Camp Overview
Offensive Skills Camp: This camp is
intended for the player that is serious about taking his or her game to the
next level. Campers will develop their ball handling skills, shooting,
and execution in special situations. Specific instruction for different
positions will be given as well.
Day Camp: All campers will be taught basic fundamental skills
with an emphasis on individual instruction. Campers of all skill levels
are welcome. All instructors will challenge and instruct campers in a
positive manner. Campers must provide their own lunch.
Boy’s High School Evening
Camp:
High school players can work at their summer job during the day and
participate in an affordable competitive camp for three hours in the
evening. Players will have the opportunity to work on fundamental
skills, receive specific positional instruction and participate in 3v3 and
4v4 half-court games. In addition, the High School Camp offers
information on SAT Prep, Study Skills, Recruiting, Substance Abuse and Nutrition.
Colleges will be notified of this camp.
Camp Philosophy
All campers will be taught basic fundamental skills
with an emphasis on individual instruction. Campers of all skill levels
are welcome. All instructors will challenge and instruct campers in a
positive manner.
Focus on skills development
Camps are structured as teaching camps. My
goal is to excite kids about the game of basketball. Camps are not overly
competitive. Skill development every day will help kids learn the
fundamentals of the game:
- Ball handling and
dribbling
- Defense, individual
and team
- Passing
- Offense, with and
without the ball
- Shooting
- Rebounding

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What should my child bring to camp each
day?
A: Lunch (including beverage). Wear shorts, t-shirt, sneakers and socks.
Q: How early can my child arrive and what
time must he/she be picked up?
A: Arrival: 8:30 - 8:55; Departure: promptly at 2:00. There is no pre or
aftercare available.
Q: My child would like to be in the same
group as his/her friend?
A: If ages are similar, they are most always assigned to the same
group. If not, please tell Coach Dolton or any other Counselor.
Q: Is the camp very competitive?
A: No. These are "teaching camps" with focus on skill development. Never
more than 8 on a team - everyone must play at least half the game.
Generally, 2 or 3 leagues at each site.
